Among these submissions, 565 applications that met the biennial’s conceptual framework and technical requirements were presented to the Selection Board for evaluation.
During the second-stage selection process conducted by the Selection Board, 261 applications advanced to the third stage.
In the first phase of the third-stage selection process carried out by the Curatorial Committee, 133 artworks were shortlisted for the final stage.
In the final stage, following artwork–site matching, the final biennial selection consisting of 97 artworks was formed and submitted to the Biennial Committee.
The Biennial Committee* decided that all 97 artworks selected by the Selection Board and the Curatorial Committee will be exhibited during the first edition of the Cappadocia Biennial.
We would like to once again express our sincere gratitude to the members of the Selection Board, the committee members, our advisors, and the support team who assisted throughout this meticulous process, as well as to the 1,038 artists from 48 countries who showed great interest and submitted their applications during the Cappadocia Biennial OPEN CALL period.
